Wellness in Motion 26 — A Black History Month Celebration of Movement and Community

TWellness in Motion 26 was more than a fitness gathering. Curated by Black Aspiring Creators in collaboration with Cowry Therapy, the event created a space where movement, recovery, and community came together to highlight the importance of well-being within creative and cultural communities.

Through a series of guided movement sessions including a 5K community run led by Emo Rugene, Pilates with Leslie, and Afro-dance HIIT with Stephen, participants explored different ways of activating the body while reconnecting with one another. The experience was complemented by a recovery lab and panel conversation on wellness, longevity, and balance, encouraging deeper reflection on how physical health supports creativity, resilience, and sustainable lifestyles.

Hosted at MOA Berlin, the event brought together creators, wellness practitioners, and community members in an environment that encouraged both activity and conversation. The initiative was made possible with the support of partners including ON Running, Vita Vate, and Sunday Natural, whose contributions helped enrich the overall experience.

Wellness in Motion continues BAC’s commitment to building spaces where creativity and well-being intersect. More than a single event, it represents an ongoing effort to promote healthier lifestyles, strengthen community connections, and empower creators to thrive both physically and mentally.
